Angel....?

One of my favorite things about 3-d art is shadow play. This angel is basically silhouette but the shadows it creates add interest.

I've made a few replications of the "garden angel" for clients but the original (pictured) is currently at my friend and mentor Bob Waites house positioned on the entry stair way. It greets visitors on their way out and casts a long shadow from a street light @ night.

Helix Trellises

These "helix trellises" were designed, built, & installed for a residence. Their purpose is to support and guide leafy vines from the ground up to the roof where they will spread and soften the metal roofing.

Made of 1/2" rebar, they stand 16' high. They are kinetic. A strong breeze creates a little sway.

rings.

Tail addition made with ring & welder's rod

My buddy Sam Bowen has let me leave it at his super good restaurant Pawley's Front Porch
in 5-points. They have a great porch with a new Bemini ring game and the latest micro brews.
